I'M HERE

I've been chugging away working at the tattoo shop this whole time. It's been .... 3 months? 4 months? I started November 4th, a day I'll never get over for the week long Presidency count. My asshole was clenched tight enough to cut diamonds the entire day.

Alex and I had our anniversary on the 13th of January, and for Christmas he and the tattoo shop combined their powers and got me a rotary tattoo machine. I'm not amazing at it, as it's a very heavy piece of machinery (as opposed to coil, which are barely a lb) but it reads better on skin imo and cuts into it easier. My sister passed her NCLEX and is currently a REAL LIFE NURSE. Alex found three plants in the trash and I'm nursing them back to health <3 Me and Alex are going to be spending Valentine's Day in a haunted house and I hope to actually update on that here. I feel bad that I've been gone so long, but my life is genuinely just TATTOO GO GO GO DON'T STOP DRAWING

Will you guys watch Inkmaster if I'm on it? (jk Inkmasters is cancelled)

Happy belated anniversary! And congrats to your sister.

We're just going on as normal... finally took the Christmas stuff down and put away a week ago. It's grim and dark now. All three poinsettias had their leaves and sepals fall off, but they are putting on new growth. Of course, I can never take care of them properly so they'll rebloom... funny how in Los Angeles they just grew in the yard and bloomed all the damn time without any care whatsoever and in the house they are fussy little shits.

My poinsettia (Pablito) is very fussy. He bloomed fine back in the day, but these days he's so cranky about blooming red that he'd rather die. In fact, he's tried to a few times. I'm hoping you had a good Xmas!

Ooo, what a lovely anniversary present!

We have been having miscellaneous kitchen triumphs and ... not-triumphs ... over here. I recently was reminded that we do not fill the pot for our pot roast to the brim while also putting in things that will do some settling. The oven got cleaned partway through, due to a pond of broth in the bottom, and the pot roast continued cooking in the crock pot.

Things are mostly okay with me. Been working from home and generally hanging in there health wise.

HAHA but did the broth pond smell good? Did your whole place smell like beef for days? I had a similar situation, but with chicken pot pie where all the juices leaked out ... sighhhhh ... that's what I get for buying cheap crust.

Hi Ame! I'm happy you got the helper -- It was a new wheelchair, correct? I don't remember too well, my head is a mix of chaos lately with all the things I'm catching up on.

I hope to go to an antique shop today so I'll probably get more cards! I have Mondays off so I take the opportunity to get all the stuff done that I'd do on Saturday, like go places and do things lol

Nice! Between the cold snowy weather and some outbreaks up here, I've pretty much been staying at home. lol

The nice thing about having Mondays off is that things are probably a little less crowded since many are at work.

Yeah, it’s a mess here and it really didn’t have to be. We’ve got some Lockdown Fever (I mean, it’s been almost a year now), but we’re enjoying our move to the woods and I just started a great new job that’s wonderfully distracting and Enting’s at nursery school which bothers me a little bit but all indications are that it should be safe. Outside of deliveries and the occasional walk in the woods with our neighbor, that’s basically our only contact with the outside world XD

Mr should have his first vaccine jab in the next a couple of months (he’s over 50 with asthma), and I should by autumn (being 41 with no known risk-increasing conditions). So, you know. Maybe by then we can start to interact with other humans again :P

It smelled like candle smoke because it had dripped on the element with all the bacon grease, and then we put the oven on self-clean and it smelled like burning. Alas.

LOL! Chaos does weird things to the mind. I got a rollator walker that helps me get around, but I also got my Helper, Sally, so does things like my laundry, takes out my trash, hangs up my new curtains. She's a real gem!
