Coffee Is Not My Strong Suit
May. 31st, 2020 05:15 pmThe Jewish funeral went well enough, it was sticky and sweaty and typical Texas. What was great was that I GOT A THREE DAY WEEKEND! I got to spend it with Alex which was what I always want. Unfortunately not a lot happened other than catching up on schoolwork with a few different things happening throughout it:
I don't have a lot of clothes for non-funeral-affairs, so Alex was nice enough to take me to Express, AKA the Twink Store. Express is geared towards thinner guys so I finally got clothes that fit nicely, rather than the boxy shirts they have at Target. I'm a slim-fit kinda guy, I don't like the tree-trunk shape. He was nice enough to get me three shirts, which are great because they're floral and now I can look good around him.
Speaking of Alex, he had his big licensing exam in San Antonio last Wednesday (27th), and he will find out this Wednesday (3rd) about whether he passed or not. We're both really anxious about the outcome and I hope it goes well, I'm gonna have a surprise for him when we find out ... And I would show it to you guys but he reads my entries so I CAN'T.
He's spent his time writing and playing Dark Souls. I'm really happy he can relax after two months of rigorous studying.
I got him a Chemex as an early birthday present since he's coffee obsessed and he seems genuinely excited about the present. He makes several cups in it every day, even though it would be easier to just make instant coffee, but he talks about aromas and bean types and roasts and my eyes cross because all coffee tastes the same to me. He was ecstatic when he got to buy some beans just for it; While in the store he smelled them and said there were hints of grapefruit, butter, brown sugar and some other stuff. I just smelled coffee beans. I'm not coffee-literate :(
We went to the store today to pick up lasagna materials and Alex and I harassed each other the whole time like idiots; I like just going places with him because always find a way to make it fun, be it making fun of the stuff on the shelves or talking about dumb shit. I guess that's why I'm dating him!
That's about it, it was a pretty uneventful weekend and for now I'm content just bothering my boyfriend by sticking my legs all over his lap while he's trying to kill monsters in Dark Souls.
