Aquatic Spooktacular
Nov. 2nd, 2020 09:29 amA few days ago me and Alex had our 2020 Spooktacular. Being a goblin person, I love Halloween and everything to do with it. I love trick or treating, handing out candy, going to parties -- But since that isn't an option so much, we were stumped on what to do with ourselves.
We ended up going to Moody Gardens which had a rainforest, an aquarium, and some other random stuff like 'Live Dinosaurs'. There weren't a lot of people there so it was nice not having to wait for any attractions, we got into places immediately. In the rainforest there was an arapaima that was easily 6+ feet long. I WAS SO THRILLED to see giant bony fish. I never saw one in person before and it was so much bigger than I anticipated. I also saw some cute fruit bats and birds and in the aquarium there were fat seals and sea lions which I loved very much. The touch tank was open too, and I absolutely tried to feel up a stingray but none of them came close enough :( Apparently it was the first day they opened the touch tank since March and the stingrays were confused. HOWEVER I got to touch a chocolate chip starfish since they can't run away from me.
Alex and I watched the Japanese movie Pulse and got drunk and spent most of yesterday (Nov. 1st) derping around and being sleepy. I don't drink much so having two drinks was astonishingly much for me. I'm still a little groggy, but that may be from midnight fear about the election. A Trump train blocked up the interstate by us and honked a lot and I just shook my head a lot. I'm ready for it all to be over. I plan on turning off my phone the night of the 3rd and not looking at anything because I WILL spaz out otherwise. I am just going to enjoy my time at the tattoo shop and not have a heart attack from my phone blowing up with excitement or fear. AUUUGH all this pent up energy!
