I'm not sure what makes maple so fall-esque. Maybe the richness? If I had maple in summer or spring, I think it would be too heavy...
We ended up going with a vegetable hash over beer bread from a blonde lager our friend made, then finished it off with pumpkin pie slices. It was GOOOOOOOOD. I am craving squash hardcore, might try to make some soon... Got any recipes?
