So, apparently late last night Alex woke to me laughing. Like, full blast, laughing like I'm a 7 year old boy watching an Adam Sandler movie for the first time. I apparently severely scared him by doing this. He poked me and the conversation went as such:

Alex: Are you okay?!
Cecil: -half asleep- What???? Don't worry about it.

Then I patted him reassuringly on the shoulder with my eyes still closed and immediately passed out again. I don't remember any of this, but I have a bad habit of doing this in my sleep. To the point that me and my friends have joked that I'm possessed at night. Off the top of my head I have:

-Sat up and stared at Alex with my eyes closed
-Had conversations with people who aren't there
-Sat up, turned to a full length mirror, and started talking to it
-Sit up, say something cryptic, fall back down with a flop

ANYWAYS I'M POSSESSED.

In other news I got some anxiety meds from the doctor. He's hesitant to give me any diagnosis because of how suddenly this was onset, but I'm working with a therapist (I haven't had one in years!) so I'm not reliant on sedatives to survive. Hopefully I improve soon!

At least it wasn't sitting up and chanting Latin. I did that once to my college roommate. I think she would have preferred me to wake her up with laughter or other randomness. 🤣

In my defense, I'd been studying hard for my Latin II final which required us to memorize and perform a Latin poem using the appropriate meter and style (which sounds a bit like chanting). But my poor roommate still teases me to this day about that event.

Also, I'm glad you're working with a therapist and that you have some anti-anxiety meds. It can take some time to sort these things out, but I've found therapy can be very helpful. I hope it helps you as well. <3
