So I went and had to be Mr. Man and tear up some pony walls at the tattoo shop. It wasn't that bad of a gig once I showed up, but I still don't like being volun-told to be places when I'm off work. We tore off sheet metal from the pony walls and knocked one of them down. It was easy to knock the one down, as there was just corrugated wood beneath and some pine blocks holding it together -- The last owner that built this tattoo shop was apparently a bit of a tightwad lol But now we have an extra tattoo station by adding a new pony wall, in a slightly different placement, in that area. The new station is roughly 10x10 and I'll likely be in it with a little desk to work at and everything.

This morning I got up early after anticipating to go in early to clean up the mess from yesterday. Mentor told me to wait until 5. So I putzed around, did some rock climbing (I told you guys I did that now, right?), went to a record store and bought some stuff, INCLUDING a tiki drink set for Friend Shannon's wedding, which has been put off because of the coronavirus but will most likely happen in May. At least, I hope, because those plane tickets were cheap and I don't wanna buy them again for a higher price T_T

Anyways as I was leaving my mentor texted me and told me I didn't have to come in, everything was done. OKAY. All that preparation for nothing.

Anyways, a plane ticket to VA means ALEX CAN FINALLY MEET MY PARENTS which is exciting and worrisome, considering the whole tiny neighborhood is gonna wanna hear about the gay boys and it'll just be like Edward Scissorhand with everyone gawking at Alex. Probably not, but we will likely have to parade him around so neighbors don't feel left out that I came by and didn't say hi to them and show them my boyfriend. We will likely have people ringing the doorbell the whole day we are back from the airport ... Luckily I'll probably be excitable and manic from travel exhaustion!

Example of travel mania: I had spent 24 hours awake from a flight from California to Virginia because I had been working up until the red eye flight. At the wee hour of 6 am, my parents picked me up from Dulles and in my mania I DESPERATELY wanted Dunkin Donuts. DESPERATELY. When we got there I put on the hat (for kids, presumably) andI pushed my face against the glass as they were making the donuts ... the guy working there on the donut conveyer beltmade eye contact with me and slowly shook his head. I looked batshit insane.
