Dumb Update (Dumpdates?)

I haven't drawn much other than tattoo stuff lately, and when I'm not at the shop I'm blobbed at home. I'm finally halfway through Cowboy Bebop. I like all the characters, but I find Ed really obnoxious. I like it, but it does feel like it has a lot of filler, like "Monster of the Week" scenarios. Granted, a lot of older animes are like that -- Like Inuyasha, Sailor Moon, etc.

Things:

-The Christmas Cactus is not dead yet. Yay!

-Me and Alex MAY be going to see Shang-Chi this weekend, which is whatever to me because I have Marvel fatigue, but I'm interested in Marvel characters that aren't cookie cutter. He's feeling pretty burnt out by Marvel too; We are hesitantly cautious. Has anyone seen it yet?

-We are going to my friend's ranch the weekend of the 18th. For those of you that have been around a long time, I'm sure you heard about the ranch. I've written a journal about being there before. It's haunted!

-My sister-in-law is in our city for a few months, so I'm getting to know her. She's surprisingly liberal (for being from bumfuck Virginia) and pretty perky. I'm going to try to go rock climbing with her sometime this week...

I'm happy the cactus isn't dead -- For now I'm thinking of a name since I THINK it'll pull through but .. We will see ... The heat index is 113 these days and I'm not sure if that'll roast it, even if it's in the shade.

Thank you! The ranch is like 150 years old or something and VERY spooky. I heard children laughing when I was trying to sleep.

Send him to the ranch! Are you going to the ranch with full ghost hunting gear? I sure hope so, lolol. Rock climbing sounds fantastic, I hope the two of you have a great time :D

So far so good... FOR NOW.

I WISH, but I'm the only one in our group of friends with BALLS (aka I'm the only one not scared by ghosts). I heard kids laughing outside the ranch when I was there last, and ... considering its about 10-15 acres of nothing on all sides ... IDK where them kids came from. I used hunting goggles we have that have night vision, thinking it's a coyote but the nearest thing that was within range was a little armadillo. SPOOKY!

Ooh, haunted ranch! What fun! (I assume- I'm new to your journal, so I don't know whether it's a fun sort of haunted or not)

I've never heard of Shang-Chi until this movie, so I'm not much interested in this one, unless I hear great things about it.

I'm not really interested either, but there's so few good movies out right now (other than Candyman), and I've got the movie bug... So I guess I'll do it.

Cowboy Bebop does have a ton of filler episodes and Ed can be a bit much. 😂 I haven't rewatched the series in ages. I've rewatched the movie a few times, which is less filler since it's a shorter complete story set within the series. Mostly I just listen to the soundtrack.

Yay for the Christmas cactus surviving! And it sounds like you've got some fun things coming up. I'll look forward to hearing more about the haunted ranch. And hopefully the rock climbing with the sister-in-law will be fun. <3

Ed is just a little too XD RANDOM!!!!111 for me and I kind of roll my eyes at them. The soundtrack is killer tho.
